Airport to City Center
The cheapest and most reliable way to reach downtown Porto is by taking the metro.

Buy the Andante Card
Head to the Airport metro station and purchase it at the vending machines.
You will need a Z4 zone card for the city center.
Each person needs their own card.
Cost: 0,60€ (card) + 2,00€ (trip).
Keep it! An inspector may ask you to validate during the trip. Also, it is rechargeable.

Validate your Ticket
This is the most common mistake tourists make.
Validation is mandatory!
You MUST tap your card on the yellow/black scanners before entering the metro or changing lines.
Fine for no validation if an inspector catches you is up to 120€.
